My name is Margaret, and I opened Margaret Lane in 2001 here in San Diego.

For years, I struggled to find clothing that truly felt right. Not just something that looked good on a hanger, but pieces that felt comfortable, natural, and easy to wear in everyday life.

Too often, I found the opposite.

So I decided to create something different.

I opened a small boutique with one clear idea in mind. Clothing should feel right the moment you put it on. It should give you confidence without effort and fit into your life, not the other way around.

Over time, something special happened.

Women kept coming back. Not because of trends, but because they trusted what they found here. They knew they would find pieces that felt good, looked right, and simply worked.

Years later, my daughter joined me.

She grew up around the boutique and understands exactly what it stands for. Today, we work side by side. She brings a fresh perspective, while we continue to stay true to everything this store has always been.
